Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said. A spokesman for the company said: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams." It has been reported that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women. The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions." An Illustrious Literary Career Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages. His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008. A number of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films. He has published more than 40 books altogether, encompassing a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
